With over 15 years’ experience in the hospitality industry, Andrew has worked as a Chef at Quay restaurant (one of The World’s 50 Best Restaurants) and finessed his fine dining skills with some of the country’s finest including Peter Gilmore, Tony Bilson, and Manu Feildel.
Andrew's early talents in the kitchen won him the prestigious NSW Minister's Award and Scholarship at the age of 21. Celebrating the achievements of the State's best in the hospitality industry, Andrew was chosen as representing the future of chefs and tourism.
Andrew’s career has covered a range of dynamic roles including Executive Chef for Henley’s Wholefoods Group where he developed organic wholesome food and managed its roll-out and launch of cafes throughout Sydney.
As Menu Development Chef for Stix Catering (Award-winning Australian corporate caterer), Andrew managed the menus and food production team for First and Business class Qantas and Etihad Airlines, and the premium catering servicing for Macquarie Bank.
Andrew crossed the Atlantic six times as the Chef for 'Rising Sun', the private yacht of billionaire David Geffen, cooking for high-profile celebrities and producing their private dining.
As the sixth largest privately owned vessel in the world, Andrew managed VIP dining experiences for Tom Hanks, Diane von Furstenberg, Robert De Niro and Tom Ford. Often chartering flights to deliver his produce from UK to Greece and Miami to the US Virgin Islands for his guests. Andrew also became the first Chef for the Motor Yacht 'Ancora's' maiden voyage around Italy from the Amalfi to Capri and Croatia.
Most recently Andrew settled back home in Australia where he added a new string to his bow - representing a portfolio of 300+ restaurants and caterers across Eastern Sydney with the artisan providore company, Two Providores.
Andrew joins Silos Restaurant as its new owner, alongside his business partner and wife, Sarah. As Executive Chef of its kitchen, alongside a team of talented local Chefs - Andrew looks forward to working with local and regional suppliers to deliver delicious produce-driven food and continuing to establish Silos as a favourite dining destination.
